This week: Well, I've done it! I have lost over 50 lbs and am out of the 270s! It's funny because I know that I've lost a pretty huge amount of weight, but at the same time it doesn't feel like that much. I can see and feel some changes, but at the same time I feel so fat (and yes, I still have a long way to go to goal) and kinda just like I haven't done much at all. When I really stop to think about it, I wonder if I'll always feel like the fat girl. Like when a person loses a limb but can still feel it- phantom fat. Hopefully these issues will be solved on their own as I come to accept the person I am becoming.

WW Week 18
This week: An okay week food wise. I could've/should've eating more healthy foods, but I am not prone to eating super large amounts of veggies or fruit. I wish I loved them the way Rob does, but I don't. Sweets are my vice and thankfully I can eat them, but it stinks to get to dinner time with only 7 points (or less) left for my meal. *sigh* I think the fact that I haven't been eating healthier has been adding to the moodiness factor. Since losing weight, I've noticed that my monthly "friend" has been happening pretty much on time, my face has been breaking out like I'm 13 again, and my depression is amplified by 1000. Ugh, I wish everything would settle in and calm the F down.
However, in good news I am almost at 50 lbs down (just 0.8 to go)! AND in 2.6 lbs I will be out of the 270s!!! I haven't been under 270 in over 4 or 5 YEARS! In that, I am proud.

WW Week 17
This week: Had another great loss. I've been working really hard and staying super focused on not going over my points. Part of me wants to take a day 'off' and just eat whatever I want, how much I want, and just pig out. I wish I didn't get those cravings to do so because it can be tough to resist.
Since the start of my journey I have been taking photos (well Rob has to do the picture taking) along the way, about every 20 lbs down. I can feel the weight loss in how I move, the clothes I wear, energy level, and other things- but I have a really difficult time seeing it. But here's my side-by-side-by-side of my pics since the first day.

WW Weeks 15 & 16
These weeks: I know it's been two full weeks since my last update. My 15th week I only lost 0.2 and was really down about it, probably because I was in a bad mood- plus I was feeling very bloated and knew my loss would be low any way. When I only lose a little bit like that, I don't know, I just feel embarrassed about it being so insignificant. In reality I should be happy that there's a loss, but when so many things around me are going on that upset me- it's really hard to be too enthused about a .2 loss. After that small loss and the bloated feeling, I knew this week would be better and would help make up for an even out last week's weigh in. In only 5 more pounds I will have lost 50! :) Then it'll just be 10 more until I have only 100 to go- which sounds like a lot (and it is), but is quite closer to goal than my starting weight.

WW Week 14
This week: Was an on and off week. Found out that my younger cousin killed himself on Friday- but I didn't let my emotions drive my eating. That was a small plus for me. My mom made pork chops and lamb chops this week when I was over, and I actually ate them along with the family. Sometimes I feel like I need to restrict my diet like crazy, but it was really great getting to eat some of the same things as my family was. I am proud of reaching 40 lbs lost, but I feel hopeless sometimes because I still have so far to go. But I am out of the 280's so should just keep going!

WW Week 13
This week: An okay loss considering the week ended with a wedding- and let me tell you! Food at weddings are not chosen because they are healthy in any sense! Sheesh. But, I was really good, even though everyone around me was pigging out. I even passed on wedding cake so that I could have a lower point alternative at home. That's a HUGE victory for me. The old me would've had 2 pieces. Almost to 40 lbs down! I'm all smiles about this! Next week, my goal is to try Zumba- it's a dance/exercise class. Everyone keeps saying how much they love it and I have to try it. Found out the place near me offers the first class free to see if you like it. Score!

WW Week 12
This week: Three months in and still going strong. Had a GREAT loss considering it was Rob's and my anniversary on Monday and we celebrated all weekend (a big apology to Sandra because I forgot to respond to her fun request for Friday). It is really frustrating finding restaurants to go to. I refuse to eat at places that refuse to share their nutritional information with the public. So there were some tears on my part as we had to leave the first place we went to (where Rob's parents had given us gift cards for), and then the 2nd (Olive Garden) because we hadn't planned anything from online since we thought we were eating at place one. You'd think with so many people watching their weight that places would be glad to show their calories/fats/etc.. but no, so many places are off my eating out list.
But we made our anniversary about being together and doing fun things together- besides eating huge meals. If I allowed myself to eat whatever I want on birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, etc. I'd be sure to gain all the weight back. And knowing how long it takes to lose weight as opposed to gaining weight, I think I'll pass on the over-indulging from now on.
It's really great that every time I lose some pounds, I'm a new weight that I haven't been in over 5 years or more. It feels great! I can't wait to reach my goal, and I wish it was easier... But I realize that I'm learning so much about myself and my relationship with food along the way.

PS> My hubby got me a new pair of Vibram FiveFingers for our anniversary!! He said he was able to spend a little more on my gift because we haven't been eating out hardly at all! :)
Edit to add: My new Chili Classics!

WW Week 11
This week: An average week. Ate pretty much all of my weekly flex points. Spent some time 2 days this week doing my dance/workout videos. I just can't do regular workout activities- I need my exercise disguised as games.. AKA fun! Other than that, I didn't do a whole lot this week, even though it was a busy one. Rob has been working a lot and I've been alone a lot and it's been help push me into depression again. Not good. But, I am not going to give up on my weight loss.

WW Weeks 9 & 10
These weeks: I know, I know, I didn't post last week. I was not happy with my weigh in and I avoided posting because I was mad, embarrassed, and just ticked off about it. It seems like it was my own fault for eating a heavy dinner the night before weigh-in, and also having those heavy left overs for lunch before weigh-in. Thankfully this past Tuesday's weigh-in made up (PLUS SOME!) for last week's pitiful loss. As of this week, I have hit my 10% goal! I have lost 10% of my total starting weight! I am under 290lbs.. which I haven't been under for at least 4 or 5 years. I have to say it feels awesome! I went to an appointment the other day and took the stairs like I usually do, and I sort of ran/hopped up them- and when I got to the top I wasn't huffing at all. I can do this, I will do this, and I will never gain this weight back. EVER!!!

WW Week 8
This week: Eating this week was OK- I didn't go over my weekly allowance points.. but I ate plenty of junk this week. However, I have been trying to get myself to eat more fruit, and it's been helping keep me full without using points. As of this week's loss, I MET MY SHORT TERM GOAL!! :) Hurray! Time to make a new goal!

WW Week 7
This week: It had been an interesting week. I was having a hard time emotionally this week, being frustrated and irritable about things going on.. so I told 'filling foods' to kiss off. I pretty much used all my 35 allowance points, and I'll be honest, it was on junk. But I lost 4.2 lbs this past week. I AM UNDER 300 LBS!!!!!!!!! SOOOO LONG!! Never again!!!

This week: Well, I was not looking forward to weigh in because last week was so down putting.. but I lost 3 lbs! I am 20lbs down! For next week, if I lose 0.7 I will officially be under 300!! It was fantastic to hear that I had such a great loss this week. So eating dairy is what seems to help. :)

WW Week 5
This week: Had a disappointing weigh in this week. I thought I had been really good this week (only 1 DQ blizzard), ate lots of veggies and fruit- and never went over my weekly allowance points. However, there was a day at home when I realized that the shorts I was wearing could be slipped over my hips and off without unzipping/unbuttoning them was pretty nice. I'll hope this week was a fluke and that my loss will show more next week.. but at least it was a loss and not a gain.

WW Week 4
This week: Hit my 5% goal!!! :) Eating until being hungry was pretty easy this week. I had to estimate some points during Memorial Day weekend, but other than that I was pretty good. It's kind of amusing that I'm having Dairy Queen Blizzards many days a week, but am still losing weight! I love being able to eat whatever I want as long as I stay within my points.

WW Week 3
This week: Eating smaller portions has become MUCH easier than I thought ever possible! Before, I could eat a larger order of Pasta Fresca (from Noodles & Co.), plus a roll with butter, plus 6 pot stickers. Now, I can only eat half of small order plus 3 pot stickers! It's great! I'm hoping to be under 300 (FOR GOOD!) in 2 more weeks. I never want to be this heavy ever.

The Day That Went... Wrong.
Usually Tuesdays aren't so bad, but yesterday was everything I didn't want it to be.
Starting the day was going 'ok' as I was fussing with my hair in all its frizzy-ness. I had lunch plans with a friend that I was looking to so much. Got a text.. she isn't feeling well and we'll have to get together another day. Well, there's not much you can do about something like that...
SO
I figured Rob, Daisy Roo, and I should go to the grasslands preserve for a 2.5 mile walk/jog. Started off pretty good, even with the strong cool winds pushing against us. Kept on going (in my Vibram FiveFingers!) and got to chat with Rob like the good 'ol days. Daisy was having a blast and all was good in our world. Until we were getting close to the end of our loop. I saw something on Daisy Roo's leg and stopped to investigate. IT WAS A TICK.
I realize that doesn't sound that bad, but being the first time I've ever seen one on my dog, trying to suck her blood, I freaked out. So, we got that one off easy, only to find that there were 4 more on that same leg. Cue me wanting to get them off ASAP. We made it back to the car and while still on the sidewalk proceeded to de-tick our baby.
In total we found 14 ticks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thankfully none had been successful in latching on (thank you flea & tick preventative). Got home quick, ran to Petsmart for some flea & tick shampoo, then off to the bath tub for a fun 10 mins washing. Later that night I was still paranoid about the ticks, so I had Rob check just once more just to be sure. He found another one. UGH.
Needless to say, I won't be going to preserves any time soon. I only wish now that I could stop freaking out every time I feel an itch!

Joel McHale Live
Last night Rob and I went to Chicago to see the comic/TV star Joel McHale! If you don't already know who Joel is, well then you don't watch "The Soup" or "Community" because he stars on both shows.
*Side story*It was the only the 2nd live show we've ever paid to see and the first (Jim Gaffigan) was rather disapointing since he was only on stage for like 50 mins when our train ride (one way) was an hour itself. Rob and I decided to drive down to the city- which is extremely scary for us- to cut down on train/wait time.*
We didn't know who was going to open for him, so it was a BIG surprise for us when Joel announced it was Donald Glover- he plays Troy on "Community." Donald was pretty nervous, but he was overall pretty funny, and even when his jokes weren't hilarious- I was too star struck to care.
Joel was announced after Donald's 20 minute opening routine was complete, and he stayed on stage for just under 90 mins! It made the stressful drive totally worth it! He was extremely funny, and the majority of his material was new (unlike Gaffigan) with some little bits from "The Soup" added in. I was also surprised because he did a lot of improv- especially when it came to the super fake-tanned lady in the front row. She got ragged on pretty good at times- and he kept making jokes about her throughout the show (like she was from Jersey.. or that she was Snooki's grandma). I don't laugh out loud at many things, even when they are pretty funny, but he had me cracking up almost the entire length of the show.
Oh, I almost forgot to mention that about half way through the show he said there was a celebrity in the audience.. and that the actor was also from "Community." It was Danny Pudi.. aka Abed!! He was in the 20th row (which Joel mocked him for) and Joel had him come on stage with Donald to perform Troy & Abed's funny Spanish rap from "Community." Then the 3 of them danced crunk danced to a John Mayer slow song as a tribute to Mother's Day. It was great! If and when Joel comes back to Chicago I will not miss him!
Here is the video of them (not mine) from youtube from my show:

Well, I'm on a new path. Hopefully one that will get me to a healthier me. On Monday I went to a Weight Watchers meeting with my friend "N." New habits need to be in my life now because I do not want to have health problems in the future.
I am so lucky to have such a supportive husband. He doesn't really need to lose any weight, but he has pledged to help me stick with the program so that I can be successful. His part time job has him up at 3am most mornings, but he insisted that we go to Target tonight and figure out better foods that will help fill me up within my point allotment. Although I have my friend "N" doing WW with me and my husband helping at home with the semantics, I am still worried that I will not be able to resist temptations when it comes to sweets. Today was the first day of actually counting points, and I have to say- it was difficult. I know I have bad eating habits, and I want to change them, but it's going to be a long road for me.
Age: 27
Height: 5'9"
SW (starting weight): 320.8
CW (current weight): 320.8
GW (goal weight): 160/295 (ultimate/short term)
